  1. ELIGIBILITY: The Dodgers Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open only to legal residents of the contiguous Continental United States and District of Columbia (“D.C.”) who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of Velocity Services, Inc. (“Sponsor”), Major League Baseball Advanced Media, LP, and other MLB Entities and each of their respective, parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers and advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the design, administration or promotion of the Sweepstakes, as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible. The Sweepstakes is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, all U.S. territories and possessions, overseas military installations and where prohibited by law.
  2. SPONSOR: The Sweepstakes is sponsored by Velocity Services, Inc, 200 N. Sepulveda Boulevard, 2nd Floor, El Segundo, CA 90245 (the “Sponsor”).
  3. AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES: Participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.
  4. ENTRY PERIOD: The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:01 PM Pacific Time (“PT”) on July 23rd, 2007, and ends at 11:59:59 AM PT on August 20th, 2007 (the “Entry Period”). Entries submitted prior to or after the Entry Period will be disqualified.
  5. ENTRY: To enter the Sweepstakes, visit: www.losangeles-dodgers.net/survey during the Entry Period, complete the survey and the Sweepstakes online entry form, and submit. Any entries attempted through the use of agents or robotic, repetitive, automatic, programmed, or similar methods, or by any means other than as described herein, will be void. There is a limit of one (1) entry per person and email address.
  6. DRAWING/ODDS OF WINNING: On or around August 21st, 2007, One (1) Grand Prize winner will be randomly selected from among all eligible entries received for the Sweepstakes. The Sponsor will attempt to notify the potential winner within ten (10) days of the drawing. If a potential winner cannot be contacted within ten (10) days after the first attempt to contact him/her, the Sponsor will select an alternate potential winner at random from all remaining eligible entries received. The odds of being selected as a potential winner depend on the number of eligible entries received.
  7. REQUIREMENTS OF THE POTENTIAL WINNER: The potential Grand Prize winner will be required to complete, notarize and return an affidavit of eligibility, release of liability and (except where prohibited) publicity release form (the “Affidavit/Release”) within ten (10) days of being notified. If a potential Grand Prize winner fails to execute and return the Affidavit/Release within the required time period, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate entrant will be selected in a random drawing from among all remaining entries received.
  8. PRIZES: One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive a Gift Card for the MLB.com Shop. Online Gift Certificates are non-transferable, non-refundable and are not redeemable for cash. They can only be redeemed through the Official Online Shop for Major League Baseball found online at shop.mlb.com. The MLB.com gift card can also be used online for non-discounted individual single game ticket purchases on the following team sites ONLY: nationals.com, texasrangers.com, pirates.com, sfgiants.com, oaklandathletics.com and twinsbaseball.com. Approximate Retail Value of Grand Prize: $ 50.00.
  9. GENERAL CONDITIONS: In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Sweepstakes is impaired in any way for any reason, including, but not limited to fraud, virus, or other technical problem, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, either: (a) suspend the Sweepstakes to address the impairment and then resume the Sweepstakes in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules; or (b) award the prizes at random from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Failure by Sponsor to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that term. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of any entrant, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to enter will be deemed to be the entrant. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
  10. RELEASE AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, Major League Baseball Advanced Media, LP, and other MLB Entities and each of their respective parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers and advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the design, administration or promotion of the Sweepstakes, as well as their respective officers, directors, employees, shareholders and agents (the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation or inability to participate in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use or misuse of any prize or parts thereof, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Sweepstakes; (b) technical errors, failures or viruses related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone or network lines; (c) typographical or other production errors; (e) errors in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; or (f) injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation or attempt at participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use of a prize or any prize component. Entrant further agrees that in any cause of action, the Released Parties’ liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Sweepstakes, if any, and in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorney’s fees. Entrant waives the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages.
  11. DISPUTES: Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in Los Angeles, California. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of California, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of California or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than California.
  12. SWEEPSTAKES RESULTS: For the names of the winner(s) or a copy of these Official Rules, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Dodgers Sweepstakes, C/O Velocity Services, Inc, 200 N. Sepulveda Boulevard, 2nd Floor, El Segundo, CA 90245, Requests must be received by August 31, 2007.
